Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Analyst Associate

This certification is retiring on 31 July 2026.
Its official successor is Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Sales AI Consultant Associate (AB-210), which covers the Sales-focused portion of this role, with Copilot-driven, AI-powered seller workflows built in from the start.

MB-280 also covered broader Dataverse and model-driven app configuration skills, as well as Customer Insights. Microsoft has not named a direct successor for either of those areas specifically. For the Dataverse and model-driven app configuration skills, AB-410 — Build Intelligent Applications is the closest continuing path, though this link is not officially confirmed by Microsoft. For Customer Insights, Microsoft has stated it will continue offering self-paced training and is planning a new, separate Applied Skill for that area.

The Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Analyst Associate certification proves you can configure, customize, and extend Dynamics 365 Sales to build business solutions that support, automate, and accelerate your company's sales process.

As a certified Customer Experience Analyst, you understand the full sales lifecycle from the seller's perspective, including how AI and Copilot features boost seller efficiency. You are able to implement and customize Dynamics 365 Sales, configure the security model, extend functionality using Microsoft Power Platform, and leverage Dynamics 365 Customer Insights — both for personalized customer journeys and unified customer data profiles.

Prerequisites
Candidates are expected to have hands-on experience with model-driven apps in Microsoft Power Apps, a solid understanding of Dataverse (tables, columns, relationships, and security model), and familiarity with accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, and Power Automate cloud flows.
