Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals
The Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification is the ideal starting point for anyone looking to build foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, and the Microsoft Azure services that support them.
This certification is designed for both technical and non-technical candidates. No data science or software engineering experience is required, though a basic understanding of cloud concepts and client-server applications is beneficial. It can serve as a stepping stone toward more advanced certifications such as Azure AI Engineer Associate or Azure Data Scientist Associate, but is not a prerequisite for any of them.
Your knowledge is assessed across five areas: describing AI workloads and responsible AI considerations (15–20%), fundamental machine learning principles on Azure (15–20%), computer vision workloads on Azure (15–20%), Natural Language Processing (NLP) workloads on Azure (15–20%), and generative AI workloads on Azure (20–25%) — including Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and the Azure AI Foundry model catalog.
