The Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate certification proves you can implement and extend finance and operations apps in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to deliver fully realized business solutions.

As a certified developer, you build business logic using X++, create and modify reports and workspaces, customize the user interface, and provide APIs and endpoints to support Power Platform apps and external systems. You are also responsible for testing, performance monitoring, data analysis and manipulation, and managing implementations through application lifecycle management (ALM). Additionally, you create technical designs, define implementation details, and implement security requirements.

You have deep knowledge of the underlying framework, data structures, and objects of finance and operations solutions, and practical experience with tools including Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services, Power Platform, Copilot, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Management Studio.
Your skills are assessed across seven key areas: planning architecture and solution design, applying developer tools, designing and developing AOT elements, developing and testing code, implementing reporting, integrating and managing data solutions, and implementing security and optimizing performance.

Prerequisites
This is an intermediate-level certification aimed at developers with hands-on experience in Dynamics 365 finance and operations apps. Prior knowledge of X++, application architecture, and the Dynamics 365 development environment is essential.
