PL 900 Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
New to the Power Platform and want to understand what it's all about? This official two-day fundamentals course gives you a broad and practical introduction to Microsoft Power Platform — what it is, what each of its components does, and how businesses are using it to solve real problems without heavy development work.
We start by looking at the bigger picture — the business value Power Platform brings and how it fits into the wider Microsoft ecosystem as a way to extend and enhance existing solutions. From there, we cover the environment side of things, including Microsoft Dataverse as the underlying data platform, and how administration and governance work to keep things secure and manageable.
The bulk of the course is spent getting hands-on with the four main pillars of the platform. With Power Pages, you'll explore how to create external-facing websites connected to your business data. With Power Apps, you'll build both a canvas app and a model-driven app, getting a feel for the two very different approaches the platform offers. With Power Automate, you'll learn how flows work and build one yourself — automating a real process from start to finish.
Throughout the two days, the focus is on understanding and doing rather than just listening. By the end, you'll have a solid foundation across the entire Power Platform and be well prepared for the PL-900 certification exam.
